Each year during the month of March, Sanford Health and Good Samaritan employees have the opportunity to give beyond their daily work and give for good during the Sanford Health Foundation’s annual employee giving campaign.
This year, employees didn’t just give for good, they gave for great — giving a record-setting $869,646 during the month-long campaign, an increase of 164% from 2025.
This month-long effort highlights the power of philanthropy within our organization and inspires employees to support the causes closest to their hearts.
Gifts Matched for Good
During the campaign, employees not only had a chance to support the areas of health care closest to their hearts, they also had the chance to support their colleagues in need. All gifts received by employees during the month of March were generously matched by Sanford Health to benefit the Employee Crisis Assistance Program, creating a total campaign impact of $1.7 million.
Since 2020, this crucial resource has provided more than $3.2 million in support to over 3,100 Sanford and Good Samaritan team members facing unexpected financial hardships, offering hope and support during life’s most difficult moments.

Last year, nearly 6,900 employees like Marsha Walsh, a radiology technologist in East Grand Forks, chose to give beyond their daily work and invest in our shared mission as employee donors.
“I’ve always appreciated how these funds help employees when they need it most,” Marsha said. “It means a great deal to me to be able to give back and support others in similar situations.”
