give for research

Sanford’s expert team of researchers is working to build the foundation for future treatments. We’ve set out to cure type 1 diabetes, be a beacon for those with rare diseases, pioneer innovative cancer treatments and more. This promising work is made possible through donors.

With labs housed across the Sanford footprint, researchers are working on cancer biology and immunotherapies, stem cell biology, pediatrics, rare diseases and more with the help of donor gifts. Philanthropy also funds the transformative Sanford Lorraine Cross Award, a medical research honor to spark innovation and reward scientists who are dedicated to changing health care for good.

The Need

Scientific innovation is happening at light speed, and with donor support, we can accelerate studies and trials to find breakthroughs faster. Research fueled by philanthropy doesn’t mean we need to wait for future generations to see the benefit – it means more solutions for patients today.

Clinical Trials & Studies

Donor funds help fuel critical research and clinical trials in type 1 diabetes, breast cancer, immunotherapy, rare diseases and more.

Sanford World Clinics

From Ghana to New Zealand, donors can help support clinics and provide sustainable health care around the world.

Sanford Lorraine Cross Award

Philanthropy is the engine behind the Sanford Lorraine Cross Award. This medical honor recognizes innovators transforming global health care.

We believe it’s important to support our community. It’s very rewarding to be able to give back, and we feel very fortunate to do so.
