Your gifts offer a home away from home for cancer patients at Cattails Place. You provide child life and expressive therapies, including a facility dog, for kids at Marshfield Children’s Hospital. You made it possible to open a new cancer center at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson.

Marshfield Children’s Hospital is one of only four in Wisconsin and the only one serving central and northern regions. Your donations provide expert, compassionate care — including child life services, music therapy, a facility dog, NICU care for high-risk infants, specialized equipment, kid-friendly spaces and family assistance.

Your gifts enhance cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention at regional cancer centers. Local support also provides free housing at Cattails Place, new technology and equipment, healing spaces, survivorship programs, patient comfort items and covers essential needs like travel and meals.

Summer is the perfect time of year for kids to enjoy being kids — spending time outside, playing with friends and going on adventures. Our team at Marshfield Children’s Hospital knows that kids don’t belong in hospitals, but when they have to be, we ensure they experience joy, laughter and fun until they are ready to go home. This is something that the late Denny Sanford felt passionate about, and why he gave so generously to children’s causes at Sanford Health. As we celebrate his life and legacy, I hope you are inspired, as I am, to continue making a difference for our littlest patients.

This summer we are bringing extra smiles to kids thanks to support from donors like you. At the end of June, we opened our new pediatric rehabilitation gyms, providing spaces for kids to heal through therapeutic play. The new gyms were made possible by Christmas in July Charity, who also delivered toys and gifts to kids in our care on July 25.

We also invite you to help us celebrate one of our favorite summer events on July 30 — Miracle Treat Day. At least $1 from every Blizzard® sold at participating Dairy Queen locations will directly benefit your local children’s hospital.
