A region update from Andy Munce, president & CEO of Sanford Sioux Falls.

Growing up in Sioux Falls, I always wanted to pursue a career in health care. In college at SDSU, I started off as a pharmacy major — following in my dad’s footsteps — before the chance to work directly with patients sparked my interest in nursing. From my first position with Sanford in 2004 as an RN supporting general surgical, post-operative heart and vascular patients, to my current role as CEO for the Sioux Falls region, I’ve always felt proud and grateful to serve an organization that’s so deeply committed to the communities it serves.

Here, our mission to care, comfort and cure extends far beyond the walls of our hospitals, clinics and facilities to touch the lives of people across our region, including those who live in rural areas where many face unique challenges that impact their health and well-being. As the nation’s largest nonprofit rural health care system, our work is only possible thanks to donors like you whose generosity fuels our efforts every day.
