Year after year, Family Fare goes the extra mile for Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center.
Since 2005, the chain of local supermarket stores has sponsored the 61 For 61 Radiothon, one of the largest annual fundraisers for Roger Maris.
“We can always count on Family Fare,” said Hillery Mork, manager of annual giving at the Sanford Health Foundation. “In addition to their philanthropic support for 61 For 61, they engage the entire community in this cause, hosting cookouts and creative in-store fundraising events.”
Following the festivities of this year’s 21st annual 61 For 61 Radiothon hosted by 107.9 The Fox in September, Family Fare presented the Foundation with a $13,132 check to support Roger Maris. The donation contributed to an event total of $110,936 and boosted Family Fare’s lifetime giving to nearly $300,000.
‘Reimagining’ cancer care
All donations this year will count toward the Reimagine campaign to transform the future of Roger Maris. Funds will enhance and expand the programs and services that patients count on today, while helping drive innovation and research to save more lives, close to home.
