Thank you to everyone who supported the Midwest Communications Radiothon for Kids presented by Hot Stuff Pizza in December. In only two days, more than $301,000 was raised for Children’s Miracle Network at Sanford Children’s Hospital — nearly $85,000 more than the total from last year’s radiothon!
A special challenge boosted this year’s radiothon efforts thanks to an anonymous donor who pledged $50,000 if the community donated at least $25,000 more than last year’s total. In the final hours, donations surpassed that goal!
“We received a challenge, and everyone stepped up to the plate for our little miracles,” said Erin Sanderson, development manager for Children’s Miracle Network. “We thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for making an impact on so many lives.”
Also during the holiday season, our friends at Sioux Falls Ford conducted their 2017 in 2017 event. For every vehicle sold, the buyer could designate a $100 donation to one of three local causes, including the Boekelheide Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Sanford Children’s Hospital.
Hundreds of customers chose Sanford’s NICU, equating to more than $38,000 for our precious newborns.
“The team at Sioux Falls Ford is amazing,” Sanderson said. “Thank you for supporting our littlest miracles.”
