Gate City Bank invests in Sanford’s pediatric oncology program

October 20, 2017

Founded in 1923, Gate City Bank has a strong tradition of investing in the health and well-being of its employees, customers and the communities it serves across North Dakota and western Minnesota.

“Philanthropy and volunteerism are within us — they are a part of our culture; they are how we operate and function,” said Steve Swiontek, Gate City Bank chairman, president and CEO.

The bank, which has been a longtime partner of the Sanford Health Foundation, most recently made a generous gift to Sanford’s pediatric oncology program through the Building Tomorrow Today campaign.

“We want our employees to see the impact we can make in our communities,” Swiontek said. “It’s our privilege and commitment to make the lives of our customers and employees better by investing in them and their communities for a better way of life.”

In celebration of Gate City Bank’s extraordinary philanthropy, the nursery in the Family Birth Center at the new Sanford Medical Center Fargo is named in its honor.

Thank you to all of our donors who have invested in the Building Tomorrow Today campaign. Whether it is providing continuing education opportunities for nurses, accelerating clinical trials or making miracles happen for our youngest patients, every gift is making a difference within the new Sanford Medical Center Fargo.

There’s still time to be a part of the Building Tomorrow Today campaign. If you are interested, please contact the Sanford Health Foundation Fargo team at (701) 234-6246.
