When the COVID-19 pandemic began turning lives upside down in April, Sanford Family pulled together and raised more than $1 million for the Enterprise Employee Crisis Fund.
Because of that generosity, more than 1,400 colleagues and their families have been able to put food on the table, pay monthly bills and simply make ends meet during a time of incredible uncertainty.
We want you to meet just three members of our family who’ve been helped.
“When my debit card came in the mail, all I could do was cry. I am beyond grateful that the Employee Crisis Fund donors would help me! I didn’t consider my story to be extraordinary, as we are all facing uncertainty with many things right now, but I couldn’t stop crying because it touched my heart so deeply that they would choose to help me.”
— Kathy Banyai, customer service representative
“I just wanted to write to say a huge thank you to the Employee Crisis Fund donors. Our kids had to stay home from daycare for two weeks due to COVID-19. My husband stayed home with them, so I wouldn’t have to miss work. After the loss of his income, it was a major stress relief and will help us catch up on paying bills.”
—Samantha Michaels, nurse
“When COVID-19 started spreading in the community, I was seven months pregnant with my second child. My family is beyond grateful for everyone who has given to support this fund. We are excited to meet our little one any day now, and your support will help us get through this difficult time.”
—Melody West, patient access representative
Many thanks to everyone who supported COVID-19 relief through the Enterprise Employee Crisis Fund and the Emerging Threats Fund this year. In a time of uncertainty for everyone, your continued generosity helps us keep rising to meet new challenges and working toward a healthier tomorrow.
