The mission of the Edith Sanford Breast Initiative is to unlock each woman’s genetic code, advance today’s prevention and treatment and end breast cancer for future generations.

It’s a big, global vision, and one Vince Lubben, president of Wireless World, is proud to support.

“I love that vision,” Lubben said. “At Wireless World, we are dedicated to being part of something that is bigger than us. A cure for breast cancer would be world-changing. I believe it would be more impactful than the cure for polio.”

Lubben saw the difference Edith Sanford is making in the community firsthand a few years ago when his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Because of increased detection technology and community awareness about the importance of regular testing, her cancer was found in the early stages. She did well with treatment and continues to have checkups at the Edith Sanford Breast Center.

“The service at all levels has been outstanding,” Lubben said. “The staff made a tough experience as good as it could be.”

To give back, Lubben and his Wireless World have been generous donors of the Edith Sanford, sponsoring events throughout the year including United in Hope.

“Our Wireless World way is ‘Doing what’s right to be No. 1, while improving lives,'” Lubben said. “We want to do what’s right for our customers and the communities we serve and improve the lives of everyone we come in contact with.”
