The Sanford Health Foundation is pleased to welcome Adenike “Nike” Ohonme as a development officer and Lisa Engelstad as a major gifts officer in Bismarck.
Previously, both Ohonme and Engelstad worked as part of Sanford’s marketing team where they cultivated a passion for the Foundation’s mission.
Both look forward to using their experience to help the Foundation reach new goals.
As a development officer, Ohonme will help facilitate annual events including the Great American Bike Race and the Edith Sanford Run/Walk for Breast Cancer and strengthen relationships with local businesses and community members.
Ohonme joined the Foundation in January and was previously a marketing specialist in Sioux Falls before making the move to Bismarck. She hails from North Carolina where she was heavily involved with Samaritan’s Feet International, a nonprofit organization founded by her father, Manny Ohonme, who also sits on the Sanford International Board.
“I’m excited to continue to engage communities in interactive ways, as well as present new and creative opportunities to get people involved with the Foundation,” Ohonme said. “I am passionate about what philanthropy can do to help make an impact in our community and across the globe.”
In her role as a major gifts officer, Engelstad will cultivate relationships with donors and prospects while pursuing a variety of health care development opportunities in western North Dakota.
Engelstad joined the Foundation in February after working as a senior marketing specialist in the Bismarck region for the past three years. Prior to joining Sanford, Engelstad gained extensive experience in sales through her work with CBL Properties (Kirkwood Mall) and the Target Corporation.
“I believe in the mission of the Foundation, and I’m excited to help fulfill that mission and make a difference,” Engelstad said. “I look forward to building relationships and working to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.”
Welcome, Nike and Lisa!
