The Sanford Health Foundation is excited to announce Amy Hinkemeyer has accepted the role of executive director at the Sanford Health Foundation Fargo.
As executive director, Hinkemeyer will oversee development efforts, donor relations and community engagement for the Foundation in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota.
“I’m excited to lead the efforts of connecting people and their passions to the work Sanford Health is doing both locally and around the world,” Hinkemeyer said. “It is a true honor to work with an incredible team and build on their great successes.”
Hinkemeyer grew up in Cass Lake, Minn., graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., and later earned an MBA from the University of Mary.
She joined the Sanford Health Foundation in 2011 as a development officer, coming to us from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Chapter in North Dakota with a proven track record of fundraising success and experience in special event planning.
During her time as a development officer with the Foundation, Hinkemeyer led annual and corporate giving and planned the Roger Maris Cancer Center galas, which raised more than $1 million for local cancer care.
For the last three years, Hinkemeyer has served as development director, leading enterprise-wide campaign strategy and prospect research efforts.
“In this role, Amy has been instrumental in retooling our fundraising approach to rely on data-driven strategies, assisting our Sanford regions in development decisions,” said Bobbie Tibbetts, Foundation vice president. “Her visionary leadership has changed the way we approach our work in planning for future campaigns.”
On a personal note, Hinkemeyer is married to her high school sweetheart, Jeremiah, and they welcomed their second child this month.
