Enthusiastic supporters across the region helped raise more than $10,000 on Giving Hearts Day, Feb. 14, to support the child life program at Sanford Children's Bismarck.

Giving Hearts for child life

February 21, 2019

Thanks to the amazing support of generous donors and matching sponsor, First International Bank & Trust, Giving Hearts Day on February 14 was a great success for the Sanford Health Foundation West Region.

With a matching gift from First International Bank & Trust, more than $10,000 was raised to support our region’s first child life program at Sanford Children’s Bismarck.

Child life takes the stress and uncertainty out of a hospital experience for our pediatric patients, and the launch of this program wouldn’t have been possible without donor support.

“Whether you made a donation, shared our mission on social media or just cheered for us along the way, we’re so grateful for your support,” said Sara Haugen, Bismarck Foundation director.

New this year, employees throughout Sanford Health’s west region competed to raise the most money in their community and claim a traveling plaque. Dickinson’s enthusiasm shined bright on Giving Hearts Day, and the community raised more than other western North Dakota cities.

If you didn’t have the chance to give on February 14, you still have the opportunity to make a donation. Please consider supporting our child life program or another cause close to your heart.
