NASCAR’S Tony Stewart helps Fargo kids

November 5, 2018

This November, fans of sprint car racer Donny Schatz have a special chance to make a big difference for local kids.

Sanford Children’s Hospital in Fargo has teamed up with the Tony Stewart Foundation (TSF) and Tony Stewart Racing to launch the For The Kids campaign. Racing fans are encouraged to make a gift in celebration of Schatz, who just claimed his 10th World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series title.

All contributions will support local kids and families at Sanford Children’s.

Schatz, who lives in Fargo with his family, is one of the best short-track racers in the country. He started competitive go-kart racing as a teenager and took racing to the next level as soon as he earned his driver’s license.

In 2006, Schatz won his first two World of Outlaws championships. He secured his 10th title on Nov. 3.

The Tony Stewart Foundation provides grant funding to organizations serving children who are critically ill or physically disabled.
