Bank supports Employee Crisis Fund

January 22, 2021

Local health care workers give so much back to our communities, especially through the COVID-19 pandemic. First International Bank & Trust and their customers recently rallied to raise $20,000 to support our health care heroes and their families through the Employee Crisis Fund.

This crucial fund provides financial assistance to Sanford Health employees in times of need including medical emergencies, natural disasters and the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“From the move to remote work to losing time with our loved ones to coping with the illness itself — every member of our bank family has felt the impact of COVID-19 somehow,” said First International Bank & Trust President Peter Stenehjem. “This donation is our way of giving back to health care workers who gave so much of their lives to protecting and caring for our community.”

More than 1,500 Sanford employees received assistance in 2020 alone. This support helped their families put food on the table, pay monthly bills and simply make ends meet during a time of incredible uncertainty.

If you want to do something to support our health care workers now and in the future, please consider a donation to the Employee Crisis Fund.

100% of every dollar donated provides direct assistance to employees throughout the Sanford footprint.
