Change In 24

On Dec. 12, Change in 24, the Sanford Health Foundation’s annual day of giving, raised nearly $15,000 for cancer patients at Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center.

“The event was great, especially with all the support from the staff at Roger Maris,” said Emma Tupa, development officer at the Sanford Health Foundation.

For a donation, Roger Maris staff could wear their best holiday sweaters and outfits. The team also held a bake sale to support the Change in 24 efforts.

Donors from across the region stepped forward to support the event as well, many making gifts in memory of loved ones or in honor of friends and families facing cancer. Generous sponsors matched every gift.

“A special thank you to our matching sponsors, Thomsen Homes, Gateway Chevrolet and Sammons Financial Group,” Tupa said. “Because of them, every gift will make an even greater impact.”

All funds raised during Change in 24 will benefit patients and their families at Sanford Roger Maris Cancer Center in Fargo who need assistance with transportation, lodging and other financial hardships during their journey to survivorship.
